The DRA has a strong vision and continues to develop plans for securing a crime-free Dowerglades. Community involvement is the only way to achieve this.
DRA initiatives

The Savika control room is available 24/7 to request the assistance of the vehicle dedicated to Dowerglades.
Financial commitment
Homeowners currently contribute R820 per month. The monthly contribution includes payment for the guarding, scanners, landscaping at our entrances and along the park perimeter. It also includes provisions for maintenance, road closure submissions to the council as required and the maintenance of a surplus to fund upgrades where possible. Service providers
The DRA contracts a security company (Savika Armed Response) for the guarding, proactive patrolling and dedicated armed response, as well as liaison with SAPS. The DRA agrees protocols with Savika in a partnership approach. The protocols and additional measures (many of which were initiated by Savika) have resulted in positive outcomes like the arrest of criminals, along with quick thinking and savvy security skills.
Financial and administrative services are provided by M&H Management services.
Debit orders are administered by Stratcol (Pty) Ltd.
All other administration and ongoing communication with residents is currently handled by the volunteers in the DRA committee, as well as inputs from residents.
